The Will of Samuel Mason Marshall

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Samuel Mason Marshall late of the Rosa and Crown Tewin in the County of Hertfordshire Licensed Victualler and Farmer but now of Tewin aforesaid and out of business I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be fully paid and satisfied I give and bequeath all my household furniture plate linen china glass wearing apparel wine and cash in the house at the time of my decease unto Harriet my dear wife to and for her own use and benefit absolutely And I further give and bequeath unto my said dear wife the sum of one hundred pounds Cash to be paid to her as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Standbrook now living with me the sum of One hundred pounds Unto my dear brother Thomas Marshall of Harlow in the County of Essex Gardner the sum of fifty pounds Unto Mistress Mary Underwood the wife of _ Underwood of Kingsland Road in the County of Middlesex Stone Mason the sum of Fifty pounds Unto Mistress Parnell Lovejoy the wife of _ Lovejoy Gardner the sum of Sixty Pounds Unto Mistress Frances Deadman of Sawbridgeworth aforesaid Widow the sum of Sixty pounds Unto Mistress Susan Holding of Sawbridgeworth in the County of Hertfordshire Widow the sum of fifty pounds and unto Mistress Eliza Cornwall the wife of _ Cornwall of Cheshunt in the said County of Hertfordshire Butcher the sum of fifty pounds All which said pecuniary Legacies I direct to be paid in lawful money of Great Britain at the expiration of Six calendar months next after my decease And I further direct that such of the said Legacies as are given to married women shall be paid into their own hands for their own sole and separate use and I declare that the receipts in writing of them alone shall be sufficient discharges to my Executors hereinafter named for the said Legacies And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said dear wife and William Parsons of Park Place Milton next Gravesend in the County of Kent Gentleman Executrix and Executor of this my Will and revoking all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this day of One thousand eight hundred and fifty two _ Samuel Mason
