The Will of Martin Malins

 

In the name of god amen the 29 Day of January 1685 According to the computation of the Church of England  I Thomas Mallins of Uper Tysoe in the county of warwick Husbandman being of perfect memory and remembrance Praised be god for it Doe make and ordaine this my last will And testament in manner and forme as following First I Bequeth my soul into the hands of almighty god my Maker hoping that through the meritorious Death and passion Of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to receive ?favor? Pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to Be buried in Christain burial at the direction of my Executr Heare after mentioned

Item  I give to unto my son Thomas Mallins the sum of on (one) shilling

Item I give unto my son Philip Mallins the sum of forty pound

To be paid to (two) years after my decess

Item I give unto my Daughter mary mallins the sum of on hundared

Pound and the joynd (i.e. with mortice and tennon pegged joints) bead (bed) in the loer (lower) roome and all things

Their unto belonging and the cubord in the same roome

And the great chest in the same roome

Item I give my son Thomas three? children fife (five) shiling a yeare

Item I give unto my wife mary mallins on (one) bead (bed) and and together?

Of sheetes and all thinges else theirunto belonging in the s[ai]d?  bead

In t[he?] chamber over the parlour and five pound to be paid yearly

Duering the tearme of her life if she like not to live w[it]h my son David

Item I give unto my son Philip to (two) children five shilling a yeere

Item all the rest of my house and on (one)  halfe yard land and goods

Whatsoever I give unto my son David mallins cartes & Wagons ?plou?ses?  harness horses beaf ship (sheep?) and all within Dores and without onley such things as are Excepted as Before mentioned to him and his ares (heirs) for ever upon Condition that he shall pay all my Debtors and legases of And make him sole executorix of this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills and testaments
