The Will of Martin Malins

 

In the name of Gof Amen the eighth  (…deliberate space..) day of ffebruary in the first Yeare of the raigne of our sov[er]aigne lord & lady William & Marie by the grace of God king & Queene of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland defender of faith  ????Annoq? Dm? 1689  I Martin Malins of Temple Tysoe in the county of Warwicke husbandman being in p[er]fect mind & memory God bee Praysed for the same And knowing the uncertainty of this life on earth & beinge desirous to settle things in order I do make and ordayne this My last will and testam[en]t in manner & forme followinge That is to say Ffirste &  principallie I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty god My maker hopeinge and steadfastly beleivinge through the merritte of Jesus Christ my saviour& merciful Redeemer to bee made p[?ar?]taker of Everlasting life in the kingdom of heaven and my body to the ear(th?...torn page)  Whereoif itt was made  ?? to decently buryed by my executrix herein after Named  And as concerninge my worldly estate w[hi]ch the Lord in mercie Hath here ?lent me I dispose of in manner following Renouncing Disallowinge & makeinge voyd all other former wills & testam[en]ts By me made whether in word or writeinge & declare & appoint This to bee my only last will & testament  Impris I give & bequeath Unto my three sonnes Martin, William and Robert one shillinge A yeere And to my daughter Marie I give one shillinge of like lawfull money of England And I give to my two Grandchildren William & Marie Trimnell the like sume of one shillinge a yeere These legacies aforementioned to be all paid by my Executrix W[i[thin some short time after my decease And all the rest and Residue of my good cattle and chattels & substance whatsoever Unbequeathed I give and bequeath to Ellen my wife whome I Make my whole and sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament desireinge she may see all my just debts & legacies paid & ffunerall charges discharged & satisfied In witness whereof I Have hereunto sett my hand & seal the day and yeare ffirst above Written

Worcester Deceased taken and valued the Fower & twentyeth day of April in T[h]e year of our Lord 1695 by Wm Malin.. Robert Malines & John Hemming
