Copy Extract Mrs Lynn's Will
This is the Last Will and Testament of me JANE
LYNN at present residing and being at Bishop Wearmouth in County
Durham widow made this 24 August 1808. I direct that all such debts
as shall be justly due and owing by me at the time of my decease
together with my funeral expences and the charges of proving this my
will shall be paid and discharged by my executors hereinafter named
as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I also direct that
the sum of £100 lent by me to my nephew JOHN STAMP together with the
interest due for the same shall be remitted and not be demanded or
claimed and thatt he security made and given to me on account of the
same £100 and interest shall be delivered up and cancelled.
I give and bequeath all which said several
legacies hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed I direct shall be
paid by my executors to the several legatees within the space of 6
calendar months next after my decease without interest for them or
any of them respectively . And as to all the rest residue and
remainder of my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of
what nature ... I give and bequeath the same unto my nephew WARREN
MAUDE ... And I direct that any Paper to be here after written or
signed by me touching or concerning this my will or any bequest ...
or any alteration or addition to be made therein or thereto shall be
taken and accepted as part of this my will in as full and ample
manner as if the same had been inserted in the body of this will. I
constitute and appoint my brother JACOB MAUDE and my nephew WARREN
MAUD joint executors ... and I hereby revoke all former wills by me
made .... In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal

There is a note that there was a codicil
revoking some legacies dated 27 Feb 1827, but this was not copied
out.
