The Will of Ann Lyell

 

This is the last will and Testament of me Ann Lyell of Binleigh Street in the Parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex Glazier that is to say I will and direct that all my just Debts Legacies and ffuneral expences be fully paid and satisfied I confirm to my Daughter Elizabeth Hyett the sum of Twenty Pounds which was left for and will be due to her at my decease And whereas I have lent unto Mr Thomas Ayrton who married my late Daughter Martha deceased the sum of Six Pounds Six Shillings And Whereas I have also lent unto the said Thomas Ayrton Household Goods and ffurniture which have been appraised and valued at Six Pounds for which he has given me his Note Now I do hereby will and direct that so much more only shall be added to the said sum of Six Pounds Six Shillings and the Value of the said Household Goods and ffurniture or such part thereof as shall not be repaid or restored to me as will make up the sum of Twenty Pounds which I hereby confirm unto the said Thomas Ayrton as Administrator to his late Wife Martha and which was left for her payable at my decease and I give to my daughter Barbara Lyell One hundred Pounds Upon Trust and for the benefit of my Grandson James Ayrton in case he shall live to attain the Age of twenty four Years without any Interest to be paid for the same in the mean time but if he shall die under the Age of twenty four Years then I give fifty Pounds part thereof unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Hyett And I direct that the remaining fifty Pounds shall sink into the Residue of my Estate Goods Chattels and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my said dear daughter Barbara Lyell whom I hereby constitute and appoint Sole Executrix of this my Will In Witness whereof I the said Ann Lyell have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal this Seventh day of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy One Ann Lyell
