THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me
JESSY ERNESTINE LOWENTHAL 0f 43 Hitherfield Road Streatham in
the County of London made this 9th day of June in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and 28. I hereby
revoke all wills made by me at any time heretofore. I appoint
my niece Gertrude Margaret Grant 120 Downton Avenue Streatham
Hill to be my Executrix and direct that all my Debts and funeral
expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my
decease. I GIVE AND BEQUEATH unto my sister Constance Anne
Lowenthal all my effects and money during her life after her
decease to my niece and goddaughter Phyllis Ernestine Ramsay my
piano (in the event of her already owning one I wish it to be
given to St Margarets Parish Hall) my round mahogany table the
picture “La Coupee” (Sark) pair of Wedgewood pots pair of
electro candlesticks my gold brooch and gold ring with emerald
and crystal stones. To my niece Dorothy I Dwane my picture of
Sark (3 in one frame) To my niece Constance M King my picture
a sea view of Sark my garnet ring 2 busts my book Shakespeare.
To my niece Olivia M Lowenthal my mahogany music cabinet. To my
niece Leonora J Stamper my 2 small cedar boxes writing desk in
rememberance and my blue vase. To my niece Barbara A Hooker my
gold garnet ring her mother gave me and my iridescent blue vase
in remembrance and my 2 busts of Wellington and Napoleon. To my
great niece Olivia G Grant my gold locket and my gold and
crystal ring. To my great niece Beryl Ramsay my gold brooch and
maple leaf brooch her grandparents gave me. To my friend
Florence M Bourne my round gold brooch. To my friend Kathleen
Chapman my gold bar brooch given me by her father at his
marriage. All my other effects to my niece and goddaughter
Gertrude Margaret Grant in the event of her decease to my great
niece Olivia Gertrude Grant. Unto my nephew Heaton a book “The
Arabian Nights” which belonged to his Uncle Edgar in
remembrance. Unto my nephew Oliver my book “Lives of the
Novelists” given me by his Uncle Edgar.
