The Will of John Loop

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Loop being sick of Body but of a Perfect and sound Memory do appoint and constitute this my last Will and Testament in the following manner Imp: I give my Leasehold Estate lying in the Parish of Sherborne to my Wife Ann Loop during her natural Life Provided she shall continue in my House Item I give to my two Daughters Ann and Elizabeth Loop my Estate lying in Slepe near...... and also my Leasehold Estate at Dorchester to my said Daughters Share and Share alike And likewise the Sum of one hundred Pounds in Money to each of my said Daughters to be paid by my Executor Item I give all the Residue and Remainder of my Real and Personall Estate to my Son John Loop whom I appoint and constitute my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament Item I appoint the Lady Drax (Wife of Henry Drax Esquire) and Mr Anthony Trew Trustees of this my last Will and Testament this fourteenth Day of November One thousand seven hundred and forty nine _ John Loop   Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Robert Sampson  _  John Bartlett  _  Susannah Fox   NB I give to the poor of the Parish of Sherborne the sum of ten Pounds to be paid twelve months after my Decease by my Executor     Proved at London 16 March 1749 Administration with Will annexed of the Goods Chattels and Credits of John Loop late of Sherborne Clerk to Anthony Trew for the use and benefit of John Loop a Minor
