This is the Last Will and Testament of me
THOMAS LISTER of Langthorne in the County of York Esquire made the
6th day of February 1778. In the first place I order all my just
debts that I may owe at the time of my decease and my Funeral
expences which I leave to the discretion of my Executrix
hereinafternamed to be paid out of my personal estate. Then I give
and bequeath to ROBERT SANDERSON and HANNAH SANDERSON children of my
late neice DOROTHY SANDERSON deceased £200 each on their attaining
their respective ages of 21 years. I also give and bequeath to
ISABELLA WILSON daughter of my Neice ISABELLA WILSON £200 on her
attaining the age of 21 years with interest for the same respective
legacies in the mean time to commence from and immediately after my
decease after the rate of £4 for £100 for a year. But in case of the
death of all or any of them before they attain their respective ages
of 21 years as aforesaid then my will and mind is and I do hereby
order and direct that the Legacy or legacies of him her or they so
dying shall cease and not be raised but sink for the benefit of the
person or persons then intitled to my real and personal Estate.
I give devise and bequeath all my messuages
lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever or of
what nature or kind soever the same be and all my parts and shares
of messuages lands tenements and hereditaments .... and all my
personal estate whatsoever charged and chargeable nevertheless with
the payment of the before mentioned Legacies to my Neice CATHERINE
ASKQUITH her heirs executors and administrators and assigns for ever
and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Neice
CATHERINE ASKQUITH sole Executrix of this my last will and testament
hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at
any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said THOMAS
LISTER the testator have to this my last will and testament set my
hand and seal the day and year first above written.
