This is the last Will and Testament of me John Lewis of Camomile Green near Lidbrook in the fforest of Dean in the County of Gloucester Coal Master I give devise and bequeath all my freehold and leasehold messuages lands tenements and hereditaments including my Coal Works or shares of Coal Works and my share or interest in The Wye Towing Path and all my real estate unto my son John Lewis his heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature and quality thereof for his own absolute use and benefit I bequeath the sum of two thousand pounds unto my daughter Sarah Lewis and I direct that the same legacy shall be paid to her clear of any legacy duty and all other expences immediately on my decease and shall carry interest from that period at the rate of five pounds per centum per annum and subject to the payment of the said legacy and of the legacy duty thereon and of my just debts and funeral and testamentary charges I bequeath the whole of my personal Estate and Effects unto my said son John Lewis for his own absolute use and benefit I appoint my said son John Lewis Executor of this my Will And lastly I revoke all other testamentary dispositions by me made In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this twenty seventh day of ffebruary in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Jno Lewis   (Attestation Clause)   Henry ......
