This is the last Will and Testament of me Isaac Levi of Barton upon Humber in the County of Lincoln Dealer in Watches I give devise and bequeath all and every the messuages lands tenements and heredits whatsoever and wheresoever be the same Freehold Copyhold leasehold or of any other tenure which I or any Parson or Persons in Trust for me am is or are seized possessed or otherwise entitled for any estate right or interest whatsoever or over which I have any power of disposition by this my Will (other than trust or mortgaged estates) unto and to the use of my old friend Alexander Levi Newton of Bury Street St Mary Axe in the City of London Merchant his heirs executors admors and assigns respectively according to the several natures and tenures thereof for all my estate term and Interest therein But nevertheless upon Trust for my brother Moses Levi if living and his assigns during the term of his natural life And from and immediately after the decease of my said Brother Upon Trust or for the absolute use and benefit of him the said Alexander Levi Newton his heirs executors admors and assigns and I give and bequeath all my monies and securities for money stock in trade stocks funds Goods chattels credits and all other my Personal estate and Effects whatsoever (except my said leasehold estates hereinbefore bequeathed) unto the said Alexander Levi Newton his heirs executors admors and assigns Upon Trust that he or they do and shall call or sell or convert into money All my said Personal Estate and Effects except such parts thereof as shall consist of monies at such times and in such manner as he or they shall in his or their discretion think proper and do and shall be possessed of such part of my personal Estate as shall consist of money and all the monies to arise from such calling in sale or conversion as aforesaid Upon Trust that he or they do and shall in the first place thereout pay satisfy and discharge all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and do and shall lay out and invest all the residue of the said Trust monies which shall remain after and answering the purposes aforesaid in his or their name or names in or upon some of the Parliamentary or Public Stocks or funds of Great Britain or at interest on Government or real Securities in England or Wales but not in Ireland with full power to change the Stocks funds and securities in or upon which the said Trust monies shall for the time being be invested for any other or others of the like nature when and as often as he or they shall think proper and do and shall be possessed of and interested in all the said Trust monies stocks funds & securities and the interest dividends and annual produce thereof Upon trust to pay the said interest dividends and annual produce unto or otherwise permit the same to be received by my said brother Moses Levi & his assigns during the term of his natural life and from and immediately after his decease Upon trust to retain all the said Trust Monies stocks funds & securities and the interest dividends and annual produce unto him the said Alexander Levi Newton his executors admors and assigns for his and their own absolute use and benefit And I give and devise all and every the heredits which are solely vested in me as a Trustee or mortgagee in for unto and to the use of the said Alexander Levi Newton his heirs and assigns as to such of the said heredits as are vested in me as a Trustee to the intent to perform the trusts thereof And as to such of the said heredits as are vested in me as a mortgagee to the intent to reconvey the same on payment of the principal monies and interest thereby secured and I nominate and appoint the said Alexander Levi Newton to be the sole Executor of this my Will and I request that my said Executor will cause my body to be interred in such one of the Jewish Burial Grounds in or in the immediate Vicinity of London as he may think proper and I leave the conduct of such Funeral entirely to him and I declare that every receipt which shall be given by the said Alexander Levi Newton his heirs executors admors and assigns for any money to be received by him or them under or by virtue of this my Will shall be a good and effectual discharge in law to any person or persons paying the same for so much money as in such receipt shall be acknowledged or expressed to be or to have been received and that the person or persons paying such money and taking such receipt for the same as aforesaid shall be thereby released from all obligation of seeing the application of the same money and from all lien and liability by reason of the loss misapplication or nonapplication thereof or of any part thereof and I further declare that the said Alexander Levi Newton his executors admors & assigns shall be charged and chargeable only with such monies as they shall actually receive and that he or they shall not be answerable or accountable for any Banker broker or other persons with whom or in whose hands any monies shall or may be lodged or deposited for safe Custody or otherwise in the execution of the Trusts aforesaid nor for the deficiency or insufficiency of any security or securities on which any monies shall or may in pursuance of this my Will be placed out or invested nor for any other misfortune loss or damage which may happen by or through his or their own wilful default and also that he and they may retain out of any monies which shall come to his or their hands by virtue of this my Will all such costs charges as he or they shall or may pay be put to or expend in or about the execution of this my Will or the trusts hereby created & lastly hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made In Witness whereof I the said Isaac Levi have to this my Will contained in four sheets of paper set my hand and seal as follows that is to say my hand to the first three sheets thereof and my hand and seal to this fourth and last sheet this twenty sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty Isaac Levi (Hebrew Inscription follows)
