The Will of Charles Lesure
In the Name of God amen
I CHARLES LESURE of Great Carter Lane London Gentleman being of sound
and disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare
this to be my will as follows to wit
I give and bequeath to my sister CATHERINE LESURE one shilling
And as to all the rest of my estate or estates and ------ freehold or
copyhold as also my personal estate and effects of what nature or kind
soever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same and every
part thereof unto CATHERINE RUSSOLE that now lives with me and to her
heirs executors and assigns forever. And I do hereby nominate constitute
and appoint the said CATHERINE RUSSOLE sole executrix of this my will.
And I do herby revoke all will or wills codicil or codicils by me
heretofore made and I do declare this alone and only to be my last will
and testament. In witness whereof for the said CHARLES LESURE the
testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this seixteenth day of
August in the eighth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
third by the grace of God of Great Britain Frand and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith and so forth. and in the year of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred and sixty eight.
Chas. Lesure. signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the
said Charles Lesure the testator of and for his last will and testament
in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each
other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

This will was proved at London tenth day of August in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine befor the worshipful
Francis Simpson Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful George
Hay also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Catherine
Russole widow the sole executrix named in the said will whom
administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and
credits of the deceased she having been first sworn duly to administer.
