In the name of God Amen. I Richard
LESTER of Oxon in the County of Chester Yeoman being weak in Body
but of sound Mind and memory (Blessed be God) do make and publish
this my last will and Testament on this thirtieth day of September
in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty in
manner and form following (viz).
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my
loving wife Mary LESTER my two Tenements known by the name of
Lesters situate lying and being in Oxon aforesaid together with all
the appurtenances thereunto belonging and also all my Cows Heifers
Stirks Calves Horses Geldings Mares Colts Utensils and Implements of
Husbandry upon the Provisos ………….. Conditions hereinafter
mentioned. To have hold enjoy and possess all the Priviledges above
mentioned untill my son Robert LESTER shall arrive at the age of
twenty one years towards the Sustenance maintenance and bringing up
of my Children she making no waste Destruction or Embezzlement
whatsoever. But if in case she shall marry before my son Robert
LESTER shall arrive at the age of twenty one years then she shall
quit and deliver up the aforesaid Premises Goods Chattels Utensils
and every other other article whatsoever delivered to her at my
Decease she receiving the sum of ten Pounds from of my Estate. Item
I give and bequeath to my son Robert LESTER my two tenements
together will the goods chattels utensils and implements of
husbandry so soon as he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years,
he paying his mother (so long as she remains a widow) out of the
rents and Profits arriving from my Estate. But if in case my said
wife Mary LESTER shall marry after my son Robert LESTER becomes of
age the she shall receive ten pounds from off my Estate. Item I
give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth LESTER the sum of Fifty
Pounds to be paid her by my Son Robert LESTER as soon as he shall
arrive at the age of twenty one years. Item I give and bequeath to
my Daughter Mary LESTER the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid her by my
Son Robert LESTER so soon as she shall arrive at the age of Twenty
one years. And if in case either of my Daughters shall die before
that they arrive at the age of twenty one years then their Fortune
of the deceased shall be equally divided betwixt my Son Robert
LESTER, and my surviving Daughter. Also I do hereby constitute and
appoint Wm WILLIAMS and Thomas SPARK both of Oxon Executors of this
my last will and Testament to see every thing performed according to
my true Intent and meaning.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my Hand and Seal to this my last Will and Testament the Day and year
above written.
