Leedes of the parish of
Cranbrook in the County
of Kent widow of Walter
Leedes of Benenden
deceased in the County
of Kent above being in
perfect health and
memory do make and
appoint my last will and
testament in manner and
form following
Item I bequeath my soul
to Almighty God who gave
it me and my body to be
buried in the churchyard
of Cranbrook.
Item I give and bequeath
to my son in law James
Houlden ten pounds that
Richard Leedes is bound
to pay me at midsummer
day next by his bond.
Item also I give unto
the said James Houlden
two joined bedsteads two
joined chests with three
canvas sheets one fine
hollan sheet 3
pillowcoats a table
cloth one flocked with a
boarded one covering and
a blanket and bolster
all with the bedsteads
chest bedding and linen
standeth in the house
wherein the said Richard
Leedes now dwelleth in
called Corthoppes.
item I give and bequeath
to Thomas Leedes and
Christopher Leedes my
sons ten pounds that is
owing me by my son
Richard Leedes to be
paid me by his bond at
our Lady Day being the
feast of our blessed
Lady Mary in anno a
thousand six hundred and
two to be equally
divided between the said
Thomas and Christopher
my sons.
Item also I give and
bequeath to Richard
Leedes my son one joined
table and kneadtrofe a
bunting hutch a buckinge
tubb and also twelve
pounds of lawful money
to be paid the said
Richard Leedes by my
executor within six
weeks after my decease.
Item I give unto Thomas
Leedes the son of my son
Thomas Leedes one joined
chest.
Item I do make ordain
constitute and appoint
to be my true and lawful
executor Thomas Leedes
my son and James Houlden
my son in law my lawful
executors to this my
last will and testament
to see this will and
testament lawfully
fulfilled and performed
dividing equally between
them all my other goods
chattels moveables debt
or debts and bequests
whatsoever and in
witness of the truth I
the said Odiane Leedes
have caused this my last
will and testament to be
made and have thereunto
set my hand and seal the
twelth day of March in
the forty and three
years of the reign of
our sovereign lady
