my last testament
containing herein my
last will in manner and
form following.
First and principally I
commend my soul to
Almighty God my maker
and my body to be buried
in the churchyard of
Benenden aforesaid or
elsewhere it shall

Item. I give and
bequeath to the poor
people of the parish of
Benenden aforesaid two
shillings and sixpence
of lawfull money of
England to be distrained
amongst them

bequeath to my daughter
Anne Leedes now
wife of George Leedes
of Cranbrook in the
County of Kent, glover,
the sum of ten pounds of
lawfull money of England
to be paid to her or to
her
administrators…………………within
one year next after my
death by my executor.
Item. I give and
bequeath to my daughter
Jane Benson now
wife of Lawrence
Benson of Cranbrook
aforesaid the sum of
four pounds of lawfull
money of England to be
paid to her or to her
executors and
administrators within
one year next after my
death.
Item. I give and
bequeath to my
goddaughter Elizabeth
Leedes daughter of
my son William Leedes
my best four sheets.
Item. I give and
bequesth to Barbara
Leedes daughter of
my son William
Leedes one round
table.
Item. I give and
bequeath to Elizabeth
Leedes daughter of
George Leedes
