In the name of god
Amen I Roger Leadbeter of Bold in the County of Lanc(aster)
husbandman being weke & sickly yet in good & perfect memory
thankes be to god for the same doe make & ordaine this my last
will & Testament in manner & forme following ffirst &
principally I committ & commend my soule into the hands of
Almighty god my maker & redeemer trusting by the merritts of his
death & passion to receive free pardon & forgivenes of all my
great & grievous sinns and my body I commend to the earth from
whence it came to be buried in the Chappell Porch at ffarnorth
at the discretion of my Executors And for the disposition of my
worldly goods & temporall Esta(te) where withall god of his
gracious goodness hath beene pleased to endew me with my will &
mind is as followeth: ffirst th(a)t my funerall expences
Eclesiasticall charges be taken out of my whole eatate; & th(a)t
every one th(a)t shall acompany me to my buriall shall receive
every one foure pence It(e)m I doe give my sonne John all my
wearing aparrell .... & also I doe give him twenty shillings to
be paid within a yeere after my decease It(e)m I doe give to my
daughter Elizabeth twenty shillings to be paid within a yeere
after my decease The aforesaid funerall expences Eclesiasticall
charges & legacies beig paid as aforesaid My will & mind is
th(a)t my wyfe Elizabeth Leadbeter shall have all the ....... &
remainder of all my goods & Catles & all other estate whatsever
belo..... in any wyse so long as shee continueth in this ....
life & after her de............... & mind is th(a)t she dispose
the ...... halfe of this estate I now leave her .......... of
her Livelihood to my child or children then ....ing equally
amongst them And the other halfe I leave to her owne disposing
And I doe make & ordaine Elizabeth my wife & Tho(mas) Thelwall
of Bold aforesaid yeoman my lawfull Executors of this my last
will & Testament hoping they will performe the same acordingly:

Testament the twentyfift day of ffebruary in the fifteenth yeere
of the Raigne of our gracious king Charles the second And in
