The Will of Mary Leach

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Leach of Goring in the County of Oxford Widow I give all my Plate and Household Linen unto my two Sons John Leach and Charles Leach equally to be divided between them as near as may be by my Executors hereinafter named And I direct that all the rest of my household goods and furniture and household effects may be sold and converted into money by my said Executors and the net produce of such Sale paid to my said two Sons in equal shares and proportions I give unto my respected friend Charles Pitman of Cholsey in the County of Berks Mealman the legacy or Sum of ffive Guineas as a small acknowledgement for the trouble he has already had on my account and unto the said Charles Pittman and also unto William Dodd the elder of Bottom ffarm in the Parish of Checkendon in the said County of Oxford ffarmer my Executors hereinafter named the Legacy or Sum of ffive Pounds each and as to all my ready money monies in the Public Stocks or ffunds and all the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever not hereinbefore otherwise disposed of (after payment of my just debts the pecuniary Legacies aforesaid and my funeral and testamentary expenses) I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said two Sons John Leach and Charles Leach equally to be divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common And I do hereby constitute and appoint the said Charles Pittman and William Dodd Executors of this my Will In trust only for the several purposes aforesaid & hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me made I do declare this to be my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one Mary Leach
