I RANDALL LAWRENCE of
Wanstead in the County of Essex ffarrier do make this my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
first I direct all my just debts funeral and testementary
expenses to br fully paid and satisfied I give all my household
furniture plate linen and china unto my dear Wife CHRISTIAN
LAWRENCE for her own use and benefit I give to ym two Sons
RANDALL LAWRENCE and HENRY LAWRENCE a legacy of ten pounds and
no more I having already sufficiently provided for them I give
all rents which may be due to me at the time of my decease and
all dividends due upon any stock or money in the public funds
unto my said Wife CHRISTIAN LAWRENCE for her own use also I give
and devise all that my copyhold or customary house Shop and
grounds situate in the manor of Stepney in the County of
Middlesex which I purchased of Mr. CHARLES MILWARD and others
and also the goodwill of my business of a Smith and ffarrier was
carried out therein unto my said Wife CHRISTIAN LAWRENCE for and
during her life if she so long remains as my Widow and from and
immediately after her decease or Second Marriage I give devise
and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my Son EDWARD
LAWRENCE his heirs and assigns for ever and I direct my said
Wife to allow unto my said Son EDWARD during her life one full
and equal half part of the profits of my said Business as a
satisfaction to him for carrying on the same which it is my
particular request and desirable wish he will continue to do for
the joint and equal benefit of his mother and himself during her
widowhood I give devise and bequeath all my freehold copyhold
land leasehold estates whatsoever and wheresoever and all my
ready money stock or money in the public funds and all and
Singular other my personal estate whatsoever subject to the
payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses unto
my said Wife CHRISTIAN LAWRENCE to take and enjoy the rents
interest and dividends thereof during her life if she so long
continues my Widow and from and immediately on her decease or
Secong Marriage I give devis and bequeath all and Singular my
said freehold copyhold leasehold and other personal Estate and
effects whatsoever unto my four Daughters CHRISTIAN SARAH
LAWRENCE, ANN GLYNES the Wife of CHARLES WEBSTER GLYNES,
ELIZABETH LAWRENCE and ffRANCES LAWRENCE their heirs executors
and assigns for ever equally to be divided between them share
and share as tenants in common and not as joint tenants the
share of each of my said Daughters to be for their sole and
separate use independant of the Husbands and not to be subject
to his control debts or ------- engagemants and if any of my
said Daughters dies without issue it is my will and desire that
their share should go among the survivors equally share and
share alike I constitute and appoint my said Wife CHRISTIAN
LAWRENCE and my said Son EDWARD LAWRENCE executrix and executor
of this my will and I hereby revoke all my former wills but in
case my said Wife marries again in that case and thenceforth she
shall cease to be my executix In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this twenty first day of May in the year or
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventeen.// Randall

24th Decmeber 1830 before the Worshipful Charles Coote Doctor of
Laws and surrogate by the Oaths of Christian Lawrence Widow the
Relict of the deceased ( during her widowhood ) and Edward
Lawrence the Son the Executors to whom administration was
granted having been first Sworn duly to administer. |
