In the name of god
Amen I hugh Lanckishire of Bold in the Countie of Lanckaster
Bruer being sicke and weake of Bodie but of good and p(er)fect
remembrance lessed and praise be god for it I doe heareby
ordaine constitute & determine this my last will & Testament in
maner and forme ffollowing ffirst I give & bequeath my soule
into the hands of allmighty God my maker and redeemer by whose
merits I hope to be saved and my bodie to be buried at the
p(ar)ish Church of warrington And for my worldly Goods I dispose
of them as followeth first it is my will & mynd to have All my
depts & funerall Expences paid out of my whole goods Excepting
the goods in the house which I dispose of as ffolloweth Imprimis
I give unto my Cosen Thomas Parr the cupboard in the house & the
arke in the lower chamber I give to margerie Tailor of farnworth
one featherbed And a Coverlet th(a)t was bought at Joseph Potts
And all the rest of my goods in the house I give to my sisteer
Ann & her daughter mary baxter To be equaly devided betwixt them
And for all the residue of my goods it is my will & mind to have
them devided into three p(ar)ts Equallie The first p(ar)te I
take unto my selfe The second p(ar)te I give & bequeath unto my
sister Ann & to my sister Elizabeth to be equaly devided betwixt
them The 3rd last p(ar)te I give to my Cosens Thomas Parr
Margery Taylor and Mary Baxter to be equally devided amongst
them And for the p(ar)te I tooke to my selfe I dispose of as
ffollowth first I give to my m’s mistris Bold five shillings And
to my master five shillings and to the nurse (sic) 3 shillings
four pence Item I give to Thomas Grymsworth three pounds & to
william ffarar of Great sankie I give all the use that is not
paid to me of five pound that he owes Item I give to Thomas
Atherton twentie shillings foure pence and to all the rest of
the servants twelve pence a peece Item I give to william ffarar
of Sutton three pounds and my best Jumpe Breeches & a dowblet a
hatt & a flaxen shirt lastly if there be any over plus of my
p(ar)te besides These legasies I give it to be equally devided
amongst my two sisters & margery Taylor & mary Baxter except
twentie shillings I give to William ffarar of Great Sankie my
Executor and two shilling foured to Ellen Croughton more then
that twelve pence I gave herbe And now lastly I doe hereby
Constitute ordaine and make my well beloved ffrends William
ffarar of Sutton and William ffarar of Greate Sankie Executors
of this my last will and Testament hoping that they will truly
p’forme and accomplish The same And Thomas Houlte to be over
seer of this my last will and Testament In wittnesse hereof I
have here unto put my hand and seale
