I Mary Laidman of the Parish of Saint
Bartholomew the Great London Widow being of sound mind do make
this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
First I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my
Body to be decently buried by my Executor herein after named who
I desire to pay all my just debts Lecacies and Funeral expenses
And it is my Will and express desire that two parts in three of
all the Leasehold Estates and other Personal Effects which I
shall be in Possession of at the time of my decease either in
this or any other Parish stand divided Share and Share alike
between my three grandchildren Mary Winbolt (late Mary Laidman)
the Wife of John Winbolt of Threadneedle Street Coffeeman John
Laidman and Leonard Laidman pursuant to the Will of my late
Husband after the Sum of One Hundred pounds shall be advanced
and paid out of the said two parts in three of the said
Leasehold Estate and Effects to the said Mary Winbolt (late Mary
Laidman) as in my late said Husband's Will is directed Item I
give twenty pounds to the said Leonard Laidman to put him out
Apprentice in case he is not put out in my lifetime Item I give
Edmund Wood of Ware in the County of Hertford twenty pounds Item
I give to my Maid Servant Mary Tracy [see note] ten pounds over
and above all Wages that shall be due to her at the time of my
death Item I give to Thomas Seagood of Gracechurch Street
Plaisterer ten pounds in consideration of his Care and trouble
which he may have in the Execution of this my Will And all the
rest and residue of my Estate and Effects not herein before
disposed of I give to the said Thomas Seagood but upon this
special Trust and Confidence (that is to say) that he the said
Thomas Seagood shall pay over the same and every part and parcel
thereof unto my said Granddaughter Mary Winbolt for her Sole and
separate use and without the Controul or intermeddling of her
said Husband and that the Receipt or Recepits of the said Mary
Winbolt solely without her Husband shall be a good and
sufficient discharge or discharges to the said Thomas Seagood
for the same and every part and parcel the rest notwithstanding
her [?Coverture] And I do hereby Constitute and appoint the said
Thomas Seagood Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testamt.
hereby revoking all former Will or Wills by me at any time or
times heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my
Hand and seal this twenty fourth day of February One thousand
seven hundred and forty nine - Mary Laidman - Signed Sealed
Published and declared by the said Mary Laidman as and for her
last Will and Testament in the presence of Us who in her
presence and at her request and in the presence of each other
have Subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto - Elizabth.

On the twentieth day of February in the
Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty two
administration (with the Will annexed) of the Goods Chattels and
Credits of Mary Laidman late of the Parish of St. Bartholomew
the Great but in the Parish of St. Marrtin Ludgate London Widow
deceased was granted to Mary Winboult (Wife of John Winboult)
the residuary Legatee named in the said Will (for that Thomas
Seagood the Sole Executor and residuary Legatee in Trust named
in the said Will hath renounced as well the Execution thereof as
Letters of Administration (with the said Will annexed) of the
Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased being first
Sworn duly to administer./.
