of Kent being of a sound
mind and understanding
do make this my last
Will and Testament that
is to say after my
decease I humbly desire
that Mr Jas Stanger Mr
Stepn Link Hazell and Mr
Thos Standen ffirst as
soon as the first
eligible opportunity
according to their
judgement should present
help the patten trade
with all its stock and
utensils shall be
disposed of at the best
and most advantageous
terms together with all
the little stock
connected with the
Grocery business for the
benefit of my dear
Children and that all
monies connected with
the business together
with all my own lawful
debts be duly arranged
and settled and what
remains shall be equally
divided between my four
daughters Martha
Elizabeth Mary & Hannah
save only that Mary by
reason of the peculiar
infirmity under which it
pleases God she labours
shall be entitled to
receive twenty pounds
prior to the monies
being divided amongst
the whole and that it is
particularly requested
they will take care and
provide for the dear
orphan Sarah Head during
her minority
proportioned to the
means Providence may
bless them with And that
Sarah Head and her
sister Ann Cotterill
Head do receive after my
death ten pounds each
and that it be given
them out of the monies
and that it be given
them at a time my
Executors may think may
think most likely to be
useful to them rather
than regarding the time
or age supposing either
or both should die in
that case the money
shall be equally divided
between my four
daughters to share and
share alike secondly
that all the household
furniture with all other
utensils of every
description together
with wearing apparel
linen books plate & all
other utensils of every
description be equally
divided and share alike
by my four daughters In
case of the decease of
either of my said
daughters their portion
shall be equally
distributed to the
