In the Name of God Amen I Maria Knowles of
the Hamlet of Hammersmith in the Parish of ffulham in the County
of Middlesex victualler being in perfect health and sound mind
do make this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form
following that is to say I give bequeath and demise after my
death the interest of four hundred pounds being in the Navy
fives unto my brother John Howson of Hammersmith aforesaid and
at his decease to be divided between the children of Joseph
Marsh of Brook Green Victualler viz Maria Robert Benjamin
Abraham and Elizabeth and after the decease of either of them to
devolve to the survivor or survivors of them and two hundred
pounds more in the same fund equally among my brothers and
sisters Children share and share alike also I give and bequeath
unto my niece Ann Taylor all my household Goods and business and
to my niece Maria Marsh aforesaid all my plate and wearing
apparel and linen and rings also I give unto my brother in law
Joseph Marsh of Brook green aforesaid fifty pounds of lawful
money of Great Britain on condition of his taking upon him and
acting as my Executor also I give unto my nephew Richard Knowles
also to my other nephew Robert Knowles both of Aldershot in the
County of Hants one hundred pounds each in the same fund as
aforesaid also I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of
my property which I may be possessed of at my decease after my
just debts and funeral expences are paid to see me decently
buried at Heston in the said County of Middlesex unto my Sisters
and their heirs equally share and share alike In Witness whereof
\i the said Maria Knowles the Testatrix have to this my last
Will and Testament set my hand and seal this thirty first day of
July in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventeen Maria Knowles
