I ELLIS CORNELIA KNIGHT of
London in the County of Middlesex Spinster do make this my last Will
and Testament in the manner following. I desire that my body may be
buried in the quietest manner and at the best possible expence. I
give and bequeath all the money and plate which may be in my
apartments belong to me at the time of my death as also all the
money and plate in the hands of Mssrs ? Dunns? Bankers at Charing
Cross London belonging to me to be equally divided between my two
servants THOMAS DRING [or Drury] and LOUISA THOMAS. I desire also my
carriage to be sold and the money which it may procure to be equally
divided between the said THOMAS DRING [or Drury] and LOUISA THOMAS.
I give and bequeath all my linen and wearing apparel of every
description to the said LOUISA THOMAS and likewise all my books [in]
the French language whether in my immediate possession or in boxes
belonging to me at Lord ROLLOS in Upper Grosvenor Street, London. I
give and bequeath to CHARLOTTE wife of Lietenant General Sir CHARLES
EGERTON of Albermarle Street, Piccadilly London my Amethyst Earrings
?...? for a ?....? and ?Sovegny? with one drop set in Diamonds. I
humbly request of her Royal Highness Princess AUGUSTA to accept a
bracelet which I have with the portrait in Cameo of the late
Princess CHARLOTTE her neice. I hereby request of her Royal Highness
Princess SOPHIA to accept a bracelet which I have with the portrait
in Cameo of the Princess AUGUSTA. I give and bequeath to ANDREW BIRD
M.D. of Clarges Piccadilly a small Cameo and ?Pichlet? given me by
the late Earl of St Vincent all the rest of my jewels and ornaments
I give and bequeath to my before mentioned maid servant LOUISA
THOMAS. My drawings Manuscripts and books not before named I leave
to CHARLOTTE wife of Lt General Sir CHARLES EGERTON . I regret
sincerely not having in my power to give testimonies of my gratitude
to other friends who have been kind to me. I pray God to bless them
and recommend to them my servants before named THOMAS DRING and
LOUISA THOMAS whom I appoint joint executor and executrix of this my
last will and Testament
