I Elizabeth Kirtland Matron of the Radcliffe
Infirmary Oxford declare this to be my last Will and Testament I
appoint my brother William Kirtland Underkeeper of the Ashmolean
Museum in the University of Oxford my Executor; and I give and
bequeath to my said brother All my ready money and securities for
money, and all other my Estate and Property, To and for his own
absolute Use and benefit, he paying thereout all my just debts
funeral and testamentary expences In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand the twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and forty nine Elizabeth Kirtland

I the above named Elizabeth Kirtland declare
this to be a Codicil to my above written Will and direct the same to
be taken as part thereof Whereas I have in and by my said Will
appointed my Brother William my Executor and bequeathed to him All
my Estate and Property absolutely _ Now I do by this my Codicil
declare that in case my said Brother shall not survive me I give and
bequeath All my ready money and securities for money and all other
my said Estate and Property Unto my sister Jane Brown, and my two
nieces Sophia Joyce the Wife of George Reeves, and Sophia Kirtland,
equally between them as Tenants in Common And I do hereby appoint
the said Sophia Joyce Reeves my Executrix in case my said Brother
shall not survive me In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
this tenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and fifty
