In
the name of God Amen;
the sixteenth day of
August 1640 I, Francis
Kingsmill of ?Ballybeg
in the County of Cork In
the kingdom of Ireland,
gentleman, sick in body
but of sound and perfect
memory, thanks be to
Almighty God, do
constitute and make this
my last will and
testament in manner and
form following. That is
to say first I bequeath
my soul into the hands
of God my maker and my
body to be buried in the
Church of Bridgwater.
Item, I give to the
Church of Bridgwater
five pounds. Item, I
give to the poor of the
same parish five
pounds. Item, I give to
the poor of Taunton five
pounds.
Item, I give to Dominick
Fisher five pounds.
Item, I give to Thomas
Cooper five pounds
Item, I give to ?Crass
Hooper five pounds.
All the rest of my goods
and chattels (my debts
paid and my funeral
discharged) I give to
William Kingsmill,
esquire, my brother whom
I make the sole executor
of this my last will and
testament, witness my
