The Will of George King

 

In the name of God Amen I George King of St Colombe in the County of Cornwall gent, Doe make this my last will and Testament, in manner and forme following, ffirst I give my Soule to Almighty God my maker, and my body to Christian buryall, Item I give unto Mary King my wife her Weareing Apparrell Rings Juells Trunke Cheste Boxes and all such thinges as shee brought with her in them, Item I give her my Silver Tankard which shee brought wth her, Item I give unto my said Wife the Tenn pounds wch my Executor is to pay unto Richard Vosper after my Death to buy herselfe bedding Item I doe give and granrt unto my said wife One Annuity or yearely Rent of Twelve pounds issuing and goeing out of all my Messuages or Lands and Tenements in St Columbe Maior to comence and beginner immediately from by and after the Death of my two sonnes Phillipe King and John King for terme of her naturall life and noe longer, Item I give unto my sonne John King One hundred pounds to be paid within One yeare after my Death, Item I give grant and devise unto Elizabeth King my Daughter all my Messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments wth the appurtenances in St Colombe Maior aforesaid To have and to hould unto her the said Elizabeth King and her heires for ever, Provided allwayes, that if my Sonne Phillipp his heires Executors and Administrators or any of them Doe well and truely content sattisfie and pay the said Elizabeth King the full and intire Sume of Two hundred pounds of lawfull English money within one yeare next after my Death wthout fraude or Deceit that then the Inheritance of all my said Messuages lands and tenements shall come and remayne and bee to the Said Phillip King and his heires for ever Item all the Rest of my goods and Chattells not given nor bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my said Sonne Phillipp King whom I make and ordayne my whole and sole Executor In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale the Third day of March in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred sixty One David King
