The Will of John Kent

 

I John Kent of St Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex, sawyer, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding praised be God for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ffirst I commend my soul to Almighty God to whom he gave it and my Body to the Earth from whom it was made Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Ann Kent of Castle Street in the Parish and County aforesaid after my Body is decently interred and my just Debts and ffuneral Expences paid all such Sum or Sums of Money that may be due or owing to me at the time of my Decease likewise any Sum or Sums of Money that may be in the ffunds and all my Personal Effects of every kind whatsoever nominating ordaining and appointing my beloved Wife Ann Kent sole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament In Witness thereunto I have in the presence of the subscribing Witnesses signed my Hand this ffourth Day of ffebruary in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two   John Kent
