The Will of The Reverend Jarvis Kenrick
This is the last Will and Testament of me the Reverend Jarvis Kenrick of
Bletchingly in the County of Surry I give and bequeath to John Perkins of
Pendill Court in the Parish of Bletchingly in the County of Surry Esquire
and John Trotter of Horton Place in the Parish of Epsom Esqr and to their
heirs and assigns for ever The Barton Court which I purchased of Mr Silas
Whiter and the Land I purchased of Holberton esquire situated lying and
being in the Parish of Newton fferris in the County of Devon Upon Trust to
permit and suffer my dear Wife Mary Kenrick to receive the rents issues and
profits thereof for and during her natural life and after her decease upon
Trust for such ones of my Sons Jarvis Kenrick John Kenrick or William
Kenrick as my said dear Wife Mary Kenrick shall give and bequeath direct
limit or appoint the same to by her last Will and Testament or any writing
or writings purporting to be her last Will and Testament executed in the
presence of two or more credible witnesses his heirs and assigns for ever
and in case of no appointment or bequest auction limitation or appointment
then unto my said Son Jarvis Kenrick should he be living at the time of my
Wife’s death his heirs and Assigns for ever but in case of his death before
my said Wife then unto John Kenrick his heirs and Assigns for ever and in
case of his death before my said Wife then unto William Kenrick his heirs
and Assigns for ever and in case of the death of all my said Sons before my
said wife then I will that the same shall be sold after my Wife’s decease
and the money arising from the sale thereof to be disposed of in the same
manner as I have hereafter directed concerning the residue of my Property I
also give and bequeath unto my said Wife whatever ffurniture linen China
Books Wine \plate Horses and Stock upon the Glebe she may choose to select
All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate and Effects both real and
personal whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever which
I or any Person or Persons in trust for me shall or may be possessed of
either in possession or reversion remainder or expectancy or interested in
or intitled I give and bequeath unto the said John Perkins and John Trotter
their heirs Executors administrators and Assigns for ever Upon Trust to sell
and dispose of the same at their discretion either by Private contract or
Public auction and at such time or times as they shall think fit and divide
the produce thereof equally amongst all and every my Children who shall be
living at the time of my death and I hereby appoint the said John Perkins
and John Trotter Executors of this my Will and together with my Wife
Guardians to such of my Children as shall be under age at my decease and I
give the said John Perkins and John Trotter ffifty Pounds each for their
trouble In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this
eighteenth day of ffebruary One thousand eight hundred and thirty three
