The Will of Thomas Keens

 

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Keens of Woodside in the Parish of Caddington in the County of Bedford Victualler (being I thank God) of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding do make & publish this my last Will & Testament in manner following that is to say I do hereby give & devise All those my three Cottages or Tenements with the Yard Gardens & Appurts whatsoever thereunto belonging situate standing & being at Woodside in the Parish of Caddington aforesaid now in the several Tenures or Occupations of Thomas Hawkins, William Hawkins & the Widow Dawson(& which I lately bought & purchased of the said Thomas Hawkins) unto my dear Wife Sarah Keens for & during the Term of her natural Life And from & immediately after the Decease of my said Wife I do hereby give 7 devise the same three Cottages or Tenements situate & being at Woodside aforesaid unto my Sons & Daughter William Keens, Thomas Keens & Mary the Wife of Thomas Wingrave To hold the same Premises to them my said Sons and Daughter their Heirs & Assigns as Tenents in Common & not as joint Tenants And as to for & concerning all my Household Goods & ffurniture ready Money & all other my Personal Estate & Effects whatsoever & wheresoever which I shall Possessed of Interested in or intitled to at the time of my decease I do hereby give & bequeath the same & every part thereof unto my said Wife Sarah Keens to her order use benefit & disposal (she paying & discharging thereout all my just Debts ffuneral & Testamentary Charges & Expences) And I do hereby constitute & appoint my said Wife sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking & making void all former & other Wills by me heretofore made do declare this to be my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I the said Thos Keens have to this my last Will set my Hand & Seal this Twenty Seventh Day of June in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & one The Mark of Thomas Keens X
