I John Kay of Sowerby near Thirsk in the
County of Yorkshire being in sound mind and health of body do
hereby declare this my last Will and Testament and appoint my
son Thomas Kay and my brother in law James Kidson to be my
Executors and to divide my personal property as follows To my
son John Kay fifty pounds To my son Thomas Kay fifty pounds To
the five children of my late daughter Elizabeth Smith of .....
two hundred pounds each to be paid to them as they severally and
respectively become of the age of twenty one years with the
interest arising therefrom from the time of my decease to the
expiration of the said twenty one years and if any of the said
children should die before they attain the age of twenty one
years or have received their portion then the portion of them
that have died to be equally divided between among the said
surviving children and it is my desire that fifty pounds each be
given to the children of my son Thomas Kay and also fifty pounds
each to the children of my daughter Mary Kidson of Bick... and
my bed and furniture in my bedroom to be given to my daughter
Mary Kidson if she shall be living at the time of my decease but
if she should not be living at the time of my decease then the
said furniture with the rest of my furniture to be divided among
the children of my late daughter Elizabeth and my son Thomas and
my daughter Mary and it is my wish and desire that no....... or
device shall alter or change the full intent and meaning hereof
