The Will of Ann Judge

 

In the Name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Judge now Housekeeper to Quintin Dick Esquire of Number 20 Curzon Street Mayfair I desire that my remains may be carried to Brington near Althorpe in the County of Northampton and placed by the side of my late Husband I direct my Executors hereinafter named to pay my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences and subject thereto I give and bequeath to my nephew John Geyton of Cooknoe near Northampton Sawyer the sum of Three hundred pounds I give and bequeath to my Grand niece Clara Geyton Daughter of my said Nephew John Geyton the sum of two hundred and eighty pounds and to each of my Grand Nephews William Geyton John Geyton James Geyton and Albert Geyton sons of my said Nephew John Geyton and to each of my Grand Nieces Louisa and Elizabeth Daughters of my said Nephew John Geyton the sum of Forty Pounds I give and bequeath to my nephew William Geyton of Number 10 Princes Street Dunstan Road Kingsland Street Carpenter and Wheelwright and to each of my Grand Nephews William and Henry Sons of my Nephew William Geyton the sum of Forty Pounds I give and bequeath to my Grand Nephew Charles Geyton son my said Nephew William Geyton the sum of one hundred pounds I give and bequeath to my Grand Niece Ann Maria Geyton Daughter of my deceased Nephew Uriah Geyton the sum of two hundred and forty Pounds and to my grand Nephew Stephen Geyton son of my said deceased Nephew Uriah Geyton the sum of two hundred and forty Pounds and to each of my three Grand Nieces Caroline Elizabeth and Frances Daughters respectively of my said deceased Nephew Uriah Geyton the sum of forty pounds I give and bequeath to Martha Hams of Hereford Wife of Jonathan Hams the sum of fifty pounds for her own separate use independent of her husband and her receipt alone notwithstanding her being married to be a good and sufficient discharge to my Executors for the same I give and bequeath to Matilda Dunkley of Little Brinkley Northamptonshire all my right and interest in the sum of one hundred and five pounds of the three pounds five shillings per centum annuities now standing in the Books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England in the name of Jane Judge deceased but subject to the existing trusts thereof declared in and by the will of the said Jane Judge and by the will of my late husband I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and effects to the before mentioned Clara Geyton I nominate constitute and appoint my said Nephews John Geyton and William Geyton Executors of this my will and exempt them and each of them from liability for losses occurring without their or his wilful default and authorize them and each of them to retain and allow to the other of them all expences incremental to the execution of this my will Lastly I revoke all former and other Wills In witness whereof I have to this my Will set my hand this twenty second day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four Ann Judge
