In the Name of God Amen I Richard Joyce of the Parish of East Ilsley in the County of Berks Breeches Maker being weak in Body but of Perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God being mindful of the ffrailty and Mortality of human Nature and that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say ffirst & Principally I commit my Soul to Almighty God that gave it my Body to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named And as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise & dispose of the same as follows ffirst I will that my Debts and ffuneral Expences shall be paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto Mary my dearly beloved Wife the use of my Household Goods and a place of being in my House during her natural life I give and bequeath to my Daughter Deborah Lambourn One Guinea and half I give to my Daughter Johanna Kizlingbury One Guinea and half I give and bequeath to my Son John Joyce half a Guinea I give to my Daughter Mary Cox half a Guinea Also I give and bequeath to my Well beloved Son Thomas Joyce whom I make constitute and ordain the sole Executor of this my last Will & testament all and singular my Lands Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances thereto belonging now in the Occupation of the Testator withall the Right Title Interest term of Years Claim or Demand Whatsoever of or to the said Messuage or Tenement belonging And all the Rest and Residue of all my Goods and Chattells Stock in Trade whatsoever by him freely to be Possessed and enjoyed and I do hereby utterly revoke and disannul all and every Other former Testaments Wills Legacies Bequests and Executors by me in any ways before named ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this ninth Day of October in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy nine   The mark X of Richard Joyce
