This is the last Will
and Testment of me
William Jones of
Efailrhyd Inn in the
parish of Llanrhaiadr yn
Mochnant in the County
of Denbigh Smith and
Innkeeper made this
twenty first day of
October one thousand
eight hundred and
seventy six in manner
and form following that
is to say I nominate and
appoint my dear wife
Jane Jones to be full
and sole Execcutrix of
this my last will and
testament and I give
devise and bequeath unto
her my said wife all and
every my freehold and
leasehold properties
consisting of dwelling
houses with smith shop
buildings yards gardens
and lands all situate at
Efailrhyd in the
township of Trebrysfach
in the parish of
Llanrhaiadr yn Mochnant
in the County of Denbigh
in the occupation or
holding of myself and my
tenants I give and
bequeath also unto her
my said wife all and
every my other
properties and effects
both real and personal
or of whatsoever kind or
description the same may
consist of or
wheresoever found she is
to have and to hold and
enjoy all my aforesaid
properties for her own
seperate use and benefit
during her natural life
but I charge and make
chargeable the same
personal estate and
effects only with the
true and full payment of
all my just debts
funeral and testamentary
charges and expenses I
order and direct that
under no curcumstances
whatever shall she sell
or dispose of or borrow
any money whatever on
mortgage of any of my
said real properties but
that the same must be
kept in good and
tenantable order and
repairs and condition
during her life and
after her decease I give
devise and bequeath all
my said real estates
with all and every my
Smiths tools and Smithy
implements unto my son
John Joseph Jones for
his own absolute use and
benefit for ever but I
charge and make
chargeable the said real
estates and effects with
the full payment at the
expiration of twelve
months after the decease
of my said wife of all
and every the following
legacies viz: I give and
bequeath unto my
daughter Elizabeth the
wife of David Jones
Smith the sum of
nineteen pounds and
nineteen shillings of
good and lawful money I
give and bequeath unto
my daughter Jane the sum
of nineteen pounds and
nineteen shillings of
good and lawful money I
give and bequeath unto
my daughter Ealeanor or
Ellenor the sum of
nineteen pounds and
nineteen shillings of
good and lawful money I
give and bequeath unto
my daughter Eliza the
sum of nineteen pounds
and nineteen shillings
of good and lawful money
I give and bequeath unto
my daughter Emma the sum
of nineteen pounds and
nineteen shillings of
good and lawful money I
order and direct that
the bench seats or
settles in the kitchen
and all the other shop
fixtures shall be
considered as immovable
fixtures and constitute
part and parcel of my
said real estates And as
to the rest residue and
remainder of all my
personal effects
whatsoever or
wheresoever that may be
found after the decease
of my wife provided she
shall not have
bequeathed the same by
will or any other
testamentary writing or
shall not have done any
other act or deed to
dispose of the same and
I hereby grant unto her
full power and authority
so to do, I give and
bequeath the same unto
my said son John Joseph
Jones and my friend Mr
Thomas Morris of Lloran
ucha upon trust to be
divided by them into six
equal shares one share
thereof to each of my
daughters aforesaid and
one share to my
granddaughter Mary Ellen
the natural daughter of
my daughter Eleanor
aforesaid and in case of
the death of any of my
daughters aforesaid I
direct that the said
legacy or legacies shall
be paid and such share
as aforesaid given to
the child or children of
such of my said
daughters as so shall
have died I hereby
nominate my said friend
Mr Thomas Morris to be
Trustee to act under
this my will and that he
shall have full power to
receive and pay over to
each of my daughters as
aforesaid the legacies
as directed to be paid
out of my real estates
and the shares of my
personal effects (if
any) to my daughters and
granddaughter as herein
before directed and to
verify and confirm this
my last will and
testament I hereto
subscribe my name the
day and year first
hereinbefore mentioned
as witness my hand

granted to Jane Jones
Widow the sole Executrix

IT KNOWN, that at the
date hereunder written,
the last Will and
Testament of William
Jones late of Efailrhyd
Inn in the parish of
Llanrhaiadr yn Mochnant
in the County of Denbigh
Smith and Innkeeper
deceased, who died on
the 13th February 1886
at Efailrhyd Inn
aforesaid was proved and
registered in the
Principal Registry of
the probate Division of
Her Majesty's High Court
of Justice, and that
Administration of the
personal estate of the
said deceased was
granted by the aforesaid
Court to Jane Jones of
Efailrhyd Inn aforesaid
Widow the Relict othe
sole Executrix named in
the said Will she having
been first sworn well
and faithfullly to
administer the same.
