The Will of William Brookes Johnson

 

I William Brookes Johnson M.B. of Coxbench in the County of Derby do make this my last Will and Testament  and I declare that all other Will or Wills made in my name previous to the date of this to be void & that this is the only true will I have written & signed my name to I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Sarah Johnson all my real & personal property wherever & whatsoever and I give them to her that she may dispose of them after my death at any time and in any manner she may think proper having perfect confidence in her that she will dispose of them (that is my real & personal property) in that way that she and I have often agreed they ought to be disposed of and that she will give them to those that have the greatest right to them that is the greatest right to my real & personal property And I appoint my dear wife Sarah Johnson the sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I recommend to her to make a Will as soon as possible after my decease life being very uncertain To this my last Will and Testament which I have written upon the other side of this paper I put my name this eleventh day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty three _ W B Johnson
