This is the last Will
and Testament of me
Abigail Jesson of the
Town of Shrewsbury in
the County of Salop
Widow ffirst it is my
Will and I do hereby
direct that all my Just
Debts and ffuneral
Expences shall be
Discharged as soon as
conveniently may be
after my Decease by my
Executor hereinafter
named I give and
Bequeath to my Cousin
Mary Hinstone Widow the
Sum of thirty pounds and
to my Cousin Elizabeth
ffreeman Widow the like
Sum of thirty pounds and
such part of my Wearing
Apparel as she shall
make Choise after her
own Wear And I give and
Bequeath the Rest of my
Wearing Apparel (if any)
to the Upper Maid
Servant who shall be
living with me at the
time of my Decease I
also give and Bequeath
to Elizabeth Edwards
Daughter of the said
Elizabeth ffreeman my
Tea Urn Silver Coffee
Pot two Silver Tea
Spoons and such part of
my China as she shall
make Choice of I
likewise give and
Bequeath to my Cousins
Rachael Staines and Ann
Staines both of
Shrewsbury aforesaid
Spinsters ffive Guineas
a piece to my Cousin
Tryphena Blakeway ffive
Guineas to my Godson
William Staines Son of
Benjamin Staines some
time since of the Town
of Shrewsbury aforesaid
twenty pounds and to
John Southern of
Shrewsbury aforesaid
Clerk to Robert
Pemberton Esquire and my
Executor hereinafter
named the Sum of twenty
pounds over and above
any Expences he shall
sustain in the execution
of this my Will I give
and Bequeath to the
Upper Maid Servant who
shall be living with me
at the time of my
Decease two Guineas And
to the under Maid one
Guinea over and above
all Wages that shall be
due to them and as to
all the Rest Residue and
Remainder of my Personal
Estate whatsoever or
wheresoever and of what
nature or kindsoever the
same shall or may
Consist I give and
Bequeath the same to
Richard Podmore of …. In
the said County of Salop
ffarmer his Executors
Administrators and
Assigns And I do hereby
Nominate constitute and
appoint the said John
Southern sole Executor
of this my last Will and
Testament hereby
revoking all former and
other Wills by me at any
