Will:
In the name of God,
Amen. The twenty fourth
day of November in the
two and twentieth year
of our sovereign lord
King Charles the second,
by the grace of God King
of England, Scotland,
France and Ireland,
defender of the faith,
etc, I, Robert Jenkins
the elder of Bremhill in
the county of Wilts,
gent, being weak in body
but of good and perfect
memory, praised be God,
do make this my last
will and testament in
manner and form
following:
First, I bequeath my
soul to Almighty God and
my body to the earth
from whence it came,
hoping for a joyful
resurrection only
through the death and
passion of our lord and
saviour Jesus Christ;
And as for my worldly
goods, as followeth:
Imprimis, I give and
bequeath unto the poor
of Bremhill aforesaid
twenty shillings, to be
distributed in bread;
Item, I give unto Robert
Jenkins my son twenty
shillings, and Mary his
wife twenty shillings;
Item, I give unto my son
Richard Jenkins ten
shillings, unto my
daughter Anne Jenkins
twenty shillings, and
unto my daughter Mary
Jenkins ten shillings,
these legacies to be
bestowed in mourning
rings;
Item, I give unto my
daughter Anne the great
brass pot;
Item, I give and
bequeath unto my
daughter Joan Jenkins
one hundred pounds;
Item, I give unto my
daughter Margaret
Jenkins one hundred
pounds;
Item, I give unto my
daughter Elizabeth
Jenkins one hundred
pounds;
to be paid to them and
every of them at their
several ages of one and
twenty years, or before
at the day of their
several marriages,
provided they marry with
the consent and
approbation of my
executrix afterwards to
be mentioned; and if it
shall please God that
either of my four
daughters last named
shall die unmarried,
then shall the money
given to either of them
so dying be equally
divided amongst the rest
of those daughters last
named upon this my will
and testament;
All the rest of my goods
and chattels, movable or
unmovable of what kind
soever not herein before
bequeathed, my debts and
legacies being paid and
my funeral expenses
discharges, I give and
bequeath unto my wife
Joan Jenkins, whom I
ordain and make my whole
executrix of this my
last will and testament,
revoking all former
wills by me made;
And I do entreat Robert
Gabye of Bromham in the
county of Wilts
aforesaid and William
Gabye of the parish and
county aforesaid, my
loving friends, to be
overseers of this my
will, to see it
performed and for their
pains in this behalf I
give unto them five
shillings apiece;

this is my last will and
testament, I have
hereunto set my hand and
