The Will of Elizabeth Jenkins

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth
Jenkins of Longparish in the County of Southampton Widow being
in good Health and of sound Mind Memory and Understanding and
being willing and desirous to settle and dispose of my Worldly
Estate and Effects in such manner that no Disputes or
Controversies may arise touching the same after my Decease do
(by Virtue of a Power to me in that behalf reserved and given
before my Intermarriage with my late Husband Isaac Jenkins late
of Longparish aforesaid Innholder decease for disposing of the
Sum of three hundred Pounds as is mentioned in a certain
Indenture Tripartite of a Release bearing Date the twenty fifth
Day of December which was in the Year of our Lord One thousand
seven hundred and seventy eight made between the said Isaac
Jenkins of the first Part me the said Elizabeth Jenkins by the
then Name and Description of Elizabeth Adnams of Longparish
aforesaid Spinster and Mantuamaker of the second Part and Isaac
Pothecary of Longparish aforesaid Butcher of the third Part and
by Virtue of all and every such other Powers and Authorities
whereof I am in any wise vested) therefore make Publish and
declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
following (that is to say) first I will and order that all my
just Debts and ffuneral Expences shall be fully paid and
satisfied out of my Effects by my Executors hereinafter named as
soon as conveniently may be next after my Decease Also I give
and bequeath unto George Pothecary the son of the above named
Isaac Pothecary the Sum of Twenty Pounds Part of the aforesaid
Sum of three hundred Pounds to be paid to him the said George
Pothecary or to his ffather for his use within twelve Months
next after my Decease Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother
Charles Adnam And to my Sister Dorothy the Wife of John Mason of
London Livery Stable Keeper All the Residue of the aforesaid Sum
of Three hundred Pounds secured by the above in Part ......
Indenture Tripartite to be equally divided between them share
and share alike And in Case of their Deaths or the Death of
either of them before the same shall become due and Payable
under the same Indenture I hereby will and order that the Part
or Share or Parts or Shares of him her or them so dying shall go
and be paid to his her or their respective legal Representatives
And all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels
Rights Credits ready Money Plate Securities for Money and other
Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and
Personal I give devise and bequeath unto the said Charles Adnam
and Dorothy Mason to be equally divided between them share and
share alike To hold and .... their respective Heirs Executors
Administrators and Assigns for ever And Lastly I do hereby
nominate and appoint the said Charles Adnam and Dorothy Mason
joint Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former and
other Will and Wills by me at any Time heretofore made and do
declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Jenkins have hereunto set
my Hand and affixed my Seal the twenty fourth Day of November in
the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty three
