David Jenkins of the
Parish of Llanbadan
Odwyn in the County of
Cardigan Gentleman being
sick and weak in Body
but of sound mind Memory
and understanding do
make and publish this my
last Will and Testament
in manner and form
following (to wit)
ffirst and principally I
most humbly bequeath my
Soul to God my Maker
beseeching his most
gracious Acceptance of
it and my Body to the
Earth to be buried after
a Decent and Christian
like manner at the
discretion of my
Executors after
mentioned ffirst I give
Devise and Bequeath unto
my Mother Margaret
Jenkins my two Tenements
of Lands called Glany
Gros and Pontic Padarn
for the Term of a Year
and a Half after my
Decease from and after
that time to my Brother
John Jenkins and the
Heirs of his Body and as
to what Money is due to
me in the Annuities in
London and in Wales I
give and bequeath unto
my Brother John Jenkins
my uncle Daniel Jenkins
and Mr John Morgan of
Kirby – Pylle upon the
Trust and confidence
that they the said John
Jenkins Daniel Jenkins
and Mr John Morgan do
pay unto my Sister Mary
Vaughan ten Guineas and
ten pounds unto my
Mother Margaret Jenkins
towards the maintenance
of my Sister Elizabeth
and also that they lay
out twenty pounds at
Interest the said
Interest to be paid unto
my Brother Evan Yearly
and every Year during
his natural Life and
after his Decease I give
and Devise the said
twenty pounds unto my
Mother John and his
Heirs and that they my
said Trustees do pay
unto my Sister Anne
Ninety Pounds and my
Will is that they the
aforesaid Daniel Jenkins
and Mr John Morgan Do
permit my Brother John
to make use of ten
pounds and my Will is
also that whatever Money
shall be remaining after
my Debts and all
Expences be paid the
said Money shall be paid
to my Sister Anne also
my Silver Watch and half
a piece of New Linen
Cloth I give to her and
the other half I give to
my Brother John and my
Will is that the
aforementioned Legacies
shall be paid within
ffifteen Months after my
Decease and I do hereby
nominate make and
appoint the said John
Jenkins Daniel Jenkins
and Mr John Morgan joint
and sole Executors of
this my last Will and
Testament And lastly do
revoke Disannul and make
void all former wills
heretofore made by me
and do declare this only
to be my last Will and
Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and Seal
