In the name of god Amen the twelft day of
Aprill Anno Dm’ 1598 Margaret Thomasdaughter al’s Jamesonn of
the parrish of Aughton within the Count’ of Lanc’ spinster
beinge sicke in Bodie yet whole innmynd and of good and p’fect
memorie god bee praised yet shee Consideringe the uncertayne
state of humane Life did make & ordeyne this to bee her last
will & testament in man’ & forme folowinge vid First shee did
Committ and Commend her souls in to the hande of almightie god
her creator & maker trustinge through faith In the death bloodd
and paaionn of his sonne Jesus Christ our Redeem’r and savio’r
to beee one of those whiche shalbe saved in his glorious
kingdome of heavenn accordinge to his most godlie p’mises in his
holie & sacred woord sett downe & her Bodie to bee buried in the
p’rishe churche of Aughton afforesaid Also it was her mynde &
will that all her debts & funerall expencs should bee first
payed & dischardged of her whole goods And that doone shee did
give and bequeth to Goorge Charells & Thomas Charells sones of
Nicholas Charells of Halsell Fourtieshillings equallie to bee
divided betweene them Alao shee did give & bequeth unto Marie
and Thomas the Children of Nichollas Thomasson al’s Jamesonn
Fourtie shillinge to bee divided equallie betweene them Also
shee did give and bequeth unto Marie and Thomas Letherbarow the
Children of Rauffe Letherbarow my brother in law fourtie
shillinge to bee divided equallie betweene them Also shee did
give and bequeth unto william Harker of Barton saven shillings
Also her mynd & will was and shee did give & bequeth to Isabell
Letherbarow her sister now wyfe of the said Rauffe Letherbarow
all the rest & Recidue of all her goods & Chatles moveable &
unmoveable quicke & dead of what kind ....... or qualitie soever
they bee of And also shee did make & appoint the said Rauffe
Letherbarow & Nichilas Thomas al’s Jameson the executors of this
her last will & testament to execute accomplis & p’forme the
same as her especiall trust was in them
