The Will of Robert Isaac

 

In the Name of God Amen I Robert Isaac of Welby in the County of Lincoln Yeoman being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding do make and ordain this my Last Will & Testament in Manner following. First I will that all my just Debts, Legacies and Funeral Expenses be paid and certified. I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Lamb of Sleaford in the said County of Lincoln Widow the Sum of five pounds. To the two Children of Ralph Clark of Pinchbeck in the said County of Lincoln wheelwright by his late wife Jane Clark deceased the Sum of five Pounds apiece, which I will shall be paid into the Hand of their said Father for their use by my Executor hereinafter named within twelve Months after my Decease. To Sarah Wilcock (Wife of Robert Wilcox of Bicker in the said County of Lincoln Labourer) the Sum of five Pounds. To Lucy Dale (wife of Samuel Dale of Oasby In the Parish of Heydour in the said Co of Lincoln Labourer the like Sum of five pounds. To my Son Robert Isaac the like Sum of Five Pounds, and to Mary Gibson (Wife of Wm Gibson of Oasby aforesaid Cordwainer) the Sum of five shillings. All which said legacies last mentioned I will shall be paid over By my Executor hereinafter named within Twelve Months After my Decease.

I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Martha Nevitt (Wife of Joseph Nevitt of Welby aforesaid Farmer) all my Household Goods and Furniture of every Kind. All the Rest and Residue of my Goods and Chattels and Personal Estate of what Nature of Kind soever and wheresoever I Give and bequeath unto the said Joseph Nevitt whom I make sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament Hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any Time heretofore made.

In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the 29th Day of April in the Year of our Lord 1786. Robert (his X mark) Isaac

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Robert Isaac the Testator as and for his LW&T in the Presence of us who in his Presence and at his Request have subscribed our Names as Witnefses hereunto (both signed) David Sely,  Edward Chantrey

On the 12th Day of May 1787 The Executor within named was duly sworn and made oath that the Testator did not die pofsefsed of a personal estate to the amount of three hundred pounds. Before me Tom Gray?
