The Will of William Illman

In the Name of God Amen I William Illman
of Rusper in the County of Sussex Taylor being weak in body but
of a sound and disposing mind and memory praised bee give to God
therefore Doe make and ordeine this my last Will and Testament
in manner and forme following ffirst I give and bequeath my Soul
into the hands of Allmighty God my heavenly ffather assuredly
beleiving that through the mercy and the meritorious death and
passion of my dear Saviour Jesus Christ I shall receive full and
free pardon of all my Sinns and my body to the Earth from whence
it was taken to be buried at the discretion of my Executrix
hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife
Susanna Illman all my goods chattels and personall estate Upon
Condition that within one Moneth next after my decease shee give
Security to my said Executrix for the payment of ffive pounds a
peece of lawfull money of England to my Sisters Katherine Illman
and Margaret Illman and to my Brothers John Illman and Thomas
Illman within one Moneth next after her Marriage or death which
shall first happen in case the Child she now goes withal shall
happen to dye under the Age of Two years and likewise that shee
give Security for the returning back of all my said personall
Estate to my said Executrix Except Tenn pounds thereof within
one Moneth next after her decease in case shee shall happen to
dye in Childbed or within Three Moneths after her delivery and
if my said Wife shall bee delivered of a Child and dye as
aforesaid and the said Child survive her and live till it
attaine the Age of Two years Then I give and bequeath unto the
said Child all my said personall estate the aforesaid Tenn
pounds only excepted but if the said Child shall happen to dye
before it attaine to the said Age of Two years Then I give and
bequeath the remainder of my personall estate that shall bee
unlaid out uppon the said Child unto my said Sisters and
brothers Katherine Margarett John and Thomas and to Michael
Piggott Samuel Piggott and Rebecca Wallis the brothers and
Sister of my said Wife by Equall division Sole Executrix of this
my Will I do hereby nominate and appoint to be my aforesaid
Sister Katherine Illman And I hereby revoke all former and other
Wills by me heretofore made Ratifying and by these psents
confirming this to bee my last Will and Testament this psent
ffifteenth day of November In the Second yeare of the raigne of
our Soveraigne Lord and Lady William and Mary by the Grace of
God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King and Queen
Defenders of the ffaith Annoq Dom 1690. In witnesse whereof I
have hereunto sett my hand and seale William Illman. Signed
sealed published and declared by the above named William Illman
as his last Will and Testament in the presence of Will: Hill
Margaret Illman Henry Hill
