In the name of God Amen The nynth day of
March in the Thirty sixt yeare of the Raigne of our Sov’aigne
Lord Charles the Second and England etc And in the yeare of our
Lord God 1683 I William Hurst of Haydocke in the Countie of
Lancast’r Husbandman being infirme & Weake in Body but of sound
& perfect Memorie praised Bee God for the same doe make this my
Last Will & Testament in manner & forme followinge That is to
say first I Bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my
Creator And my Body I Commend to the earth from whence it was
taken to bee Buryed in the Parish Church yord of Winwicke att
the discretion of my frends & Executor hereafter named And as
Touchinge such Worldly estate as the Lord in mercy hath Lent mee
my Will is the same shall bee Imployed & Bestowed as here after
is expressed Ad first I doe here by make voyd all Wills by mee
formerly made And declare & appoynte this my Last Will &
Testament first it is my Will & mynd That one Bond of Tenn
pounds and one other Bond of Twenty pounds which is due to bee
payd by Thomas Hurst my sonne att the day of my death shall bee
payd as much of them as is requisite to the dischargeinge of my
funerall expenses And the remaineinge ov’plus of the s’d Bonds
besides the funerall expences I doe here by give & Bequeath to
three of my sonne Thomas Hurst youngest Children Namely to
Thomas Katherin & Alice Hurst equally Amongst them It’m I give
to my sonne John Hurst his two children namely Ann & Kathrin the
sume of foure pounds equally betwixt them It’m I give to my
sonn in Lawe Samuel Kenion his three children namely Robert
Alice & Katherin the sume of foure pounds equally amongst them
It’m I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Wright her three sonnes
namely John Robert & William the sume of foure pounds equally
amongst them It’m I give to the Poores Stcke in Haydocke fourty
shillings All w’ch s’d sumes before Men’coned To bee Given to
John Hurst his two Children Samuell Kenion’s Children &
Elizabeth Wright’s Children Togather w’th the fourty shillings
given to the Poores Stocke I doe hereby Will & devised that the
s’d sumes of money shall bee taken hadd & received from
JohnHurst my s’d sonne forth & out of one Bond of Twenty pounds
wh’ch he the s’d John wrote mee It’m the residue of this Last
Men’coned Twenty pounds not yett given or disposed of I doe
hereby give & bequeath the same to three of Thomas Hurst’s
youngest Children before named that is to say Thomas Katherin &
Alice equally amongst them It’m I give to my Daughter Margaret
Kenion one Presse standinge in my Chamber It’m I give to
William Hurst sonne of Thomas Hurst afores’d one seeld Bedd
Curtaines & Vallance standinge in my Chamber It’m I give to my
sonne Thomas Hurst Daughter Alice and my sonn in Lawe Samuel
Kenions Daughter Katherin both before named all my Beddinge
whatsoev’ And Lastly of this my Last Will & Testament I ordaine
Constitute & Make Thomas Hurst my sonne afores’d my true &
Lawfull Executor to execute p’forme & fullfill the same as my
trust is in him.
