The Will of Samuel Howlett

 

In the Name of God Amen I SAMUEL HOWLETT of the Saracens Head Inn in the parish of Saint Katherine Cree Church Aldgate in the City of London victualler being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same do make this my last will and testament in form following that is to say I will that all my just debts shall be paid and my funeral expences discharged.

Item I give and bequeath to my brother ROBERT HOWLET one shilling

I give and bequeath to SARAH HALL one shilling

I give and bequeath to EASTER CIRTMAN? wife of ROBERT CIRTMAN? £5

I give and bequeath to MARY RUMBALL wife of THOMAS RUMBALL £5

Item all the rest and residue of my estate of what nature or kind soever it shall consist on at the time of my death I give and bequeath to my dear and loveing wife SARAH HOWLETT as her own estate for ever

I also hereby appoint my said dear and loveing wife full and sole executrix of this my last will hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made and I declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have the 23 January 1813 set my hand and seal.

Proved at London 9 March 1814 by the oath of sarah Howlett widow  and sole executrix .....
