The Will of Sarah Howard


In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Howard late of Parliament Street Westminster but now of Hammersmith Middlesex being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ffirst I direct that the money belonging to me in my name in the Bank Long Annuities be sold out to pay all my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses of proving this my Will and after they are all paid I desire the remainder of the money be disposed in the following manner I give to my Brother John Howard of Chertsey bridge Middlesex and to my Sister Mary Wife of Mr Pocock late of Hammersmith the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds each Should the death of either occur previously to my own I desire that their legacy be given to the survivor I desire that my wearing apparel be also given to my Sister Mary I give to my Sister Ann Howard the sum of one hundred pounds To my brothers William and Thomas Howard the sum of fifty pounds each I give to Sarah Russell Sophia Styles Marianne Collis daughters of the late Josiah Lane Colvill of Parliament Street Westminster Esqr the sum of nineteen guineas each I give to my mother in law Mrs Jane Howard Caroline Ann Harriot Russell daughters of the late John Russell Esqr of South Lambeth Surrey Marianne Collis Daughter of Joseph Collis Esqr of Upper Bedford Place Mrs Giles of Bethnal Green Caroline Colville Daughter of the late John Colvill Esqr of Portsea Hants and Mary Parsons ten pounds each I nominate and appoint Caroline Eliza ffenn of Hammersmith Middlesex Executrix this my last Will and Testament and constitute her my Residuary Legatee As witness my hand and seal this third day of October one thousand eight hundred and thirty two _ Sarah Howard
