In the Name of God Amen, I Margarett
HOLLINPREIST of the parish of St John's HACKNEY in the county of
Middlesex, widdow, being at present but in indifferent health of
body but of sound mind and understanding, praised be God for the
same but considering the uncertainty of this Life I doe make
this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following
(that is to say).....
Imprimis I humbly assign my soul to Almighty God from whom I had
it (trusting) him to receive it into his Bosom for the merritts
of my Saviour Jesus Christ.
And my body I commit to the earth from whence it came in hopes
of a happy Resurrection, which I desire may be decently buried
by my late dear husband John HOLLINPREIST in the parish church
of St Edmund the King in Lombard Street, London, to which said
parish I give and bequeath one hundred pounds for ever to be
placed at Interest which said Interest is to be disposed off
Annually on Christmas Day or two or three days afterwards by the
Minister and church wardens of the said parish then in being
amongst five of the poorest widdows of the said parish and if
there should not be so many poor widdows then as many other poor
thereof shall be added as will make up that number.
Item I give and bequeath unto my cousin Margaret HESKETH wife of
Mr John Hesketh one hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great
Britain and to my godson Roger Hesketh, the son of the said John
and Margarett fifty pounds of like money to be paid to his
father for his benefitt.
Item I give and bequeath unto my cousin Richard SINGLETON five
pounds of like money and to his brother John and Thomas
Singleton fifty pounds apiece of like money who are now of such
years that their receipt shall be a sufficient discharge to my
Executor.
Item I give and bequeath unto my cousin Joseph WILKINSON one
hundred pounds of like money to be paid him in a month after my
decease and to his son James Wilkinson one hundred pounds of
like money to be paid himat his age of one and twenty years or

happen.
And to all and every other of his children as he shall have at
the time of my decease twenty pounds apiece of like money, which
said twenty pounds legacies as aforesaid my will is shall be
applied by my Executors for putting him or her or them out
Apprentices and buying them necessarys for that purpose and this
I principally design and if my Executor after my decease shall
find occasion to apply all or any of their said legacies
otherwise which in his judgement he may think will conduce more
to their particular benefitt then my will is that he may do so
and my will further is that his accounts produced on this trust
shall be a sufficient discharge to him.
Item I give and bequeath unto my cousins Eleanor, Martha and
Mathew WATKINSON fifty pounds apiece of like money and to my
cousin John Watkinson one hundred pounds of like money.
Item my will and mind is that my executor to pay unto my neice

be subject or liable to the debts or controule of her said
husband or any other husband and to be paid by equal half yearly
payments and her acquittants or receipt not withstanding her
coverture shall from time to time be a sufficient discharge to
my Executor. And immediately from and after her decease the sum
of four hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Brittain shall
be paid to and amongst all her children share and share alike as
shall be living at her death and if any of them should be under
the age of one and twenty years and of the age of sixteen years
then he or she of such age giving a receipt for his or her part
or share of the said four hundred pounds shall be a sufficient
discharge to my Executor and if all of them should be under the
age of sixteen years in such case I appoint my Executor to be
Guardian to such children until they shall attain such age and
my Executor is to allow them Interest after the rate of five
pounds per cent per annum for their respective shares until they
shall attain the age of sixteen years as aforesaid.
And my will and mind is that soon after my decease my Executor
do for his security of the payment of the said twenty pounds per
annum by deed under his hand and seal declare so much of my
stock in the Bank of England as shall be thought reasonably
sufficient at that time to pay the said twenty pounds per annum
which said stock shall be liable to the payment of the said four
hundred pounds by sale thereof if occasion after my said neice's
decease.
And my will and mind is that if at any time the Bank should pay
off any of the principall or funds thereof by payments from the
Government to them. In such case my will is that the same shall
remain in the Bank until it can be placed out at interest on
some good security for the benefitt of the said Trust but the
same is not to be placed out without the approbation of my said
neice.

pounds out of the next half year's dividend that he shall

Elizabeth NEWSHAM, the wife of Richard Newsham, the sum of ten
pounds per annum during her naturall life. And for security of
the payment of the same so much of my Bank stock is to be
included in the said deed in proportion as to be for the payment
of the said Elleanor Baynes's twenty pounds per annum and she is
to receive it without controle of her said husband or any
husband she may hereafter intermarry in the same manner as my
said neice Elleanor Baynes is to do. And this Trust stock is to
be settled and managed in the same manner as the said other
Trust stock is to be without any variance. And from and after
her decease the sum of two hundred pounds of lawfull money of
Great Brittain shall be paid to and amongst all her children
share and share alike and to be paid them in the same manner as

husbands of my aforesaid neices and a proportionable part of my
bank stock as in the other cases is to be included in the said
deed for the payment thereof. And what may hereafter be paid off
by the said Bank as is mentioned may be in the said other trust
stock my said Executor is to receive it and place it out at
interest as he shall think proper towards payment of the said
ten pounds per annum and after her decease this Trust stock
shall be to the sole use of my Executor as likewise if there
should be any surplus of the aforesaid and other Trust stocks

sufficient to pay them but the same, mostly consisting in stocks
I give my Executor this time that he may look into the same to
manage them for the most benefitt he can to himself.
Item whereas severall of my relations are indebted to me in
severall sums of money by Bond, Bill or otherwise now I do
