The Will of Robert Holliday
This is the last will and Testament of me Robert
Holliday of Walton upon Thames in the County of Surrey Carpenter being
sound in Health of Body and Mind Praised be God And first I give and
devise all that my ffreehold Messuage or Tenement with the Shed and
Backside thereunto belonging and being in Walton upon Thames aforesaid
with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging now in the occupation of
Carroway To my Wife Elizabeth Holliday and her assignes for and during
the Terme of her natural Life and after her decease to my son Robert
Holliday and the Heires of his Body lawfully to be begotten and for want
of such Issue to my Daughter Dorothy Wife of Silvester Heather and the
Heires of her Body lawfully begotten and for want of such Issue to the
right Heires of the said Robert Holliday the Testator for ever Item I
give and devise all that my Customary Close of Land called or Knowin by
the Name of Wibidge lying in the Parish of Walton aforesaid holden of
the Mannor of Walton Leigh by estimation five acres more or less
adjoining to a certain common ffeild there called Sandy ffeild with the
appurtenances To my said Wife Elizabeth Holliday and her assignes for
and during the Term of her natural Life and after her decease to my said
Daughter Dorothy and the Heires of her Body lawfully begotten and for
want of such Issue To my son Robert Holliday his Heires and Assignes for
ever of which said Customary Close and premises I have made a surrender
to the Uses of my Will Item I give and devise All that my Customary
Cottage or Tenement Barne outhouse Garden and Orchard thereunto
belonging situate lyeing and being in West Moulsey in the County of
Surrey formerly in the Tenure of John Jones and Esther his Wife houlden
of the Mannor of Moulsey Prior at West Moulsey To my said Wife Elizabeth
Holliday and her assignes for and during the Term of her natural Life
and from and immediately after her decease to my son Robert Holliday and
his Heires and Assignes for ever Item I give and devise all that my
Messuage or Tenement with the orchard Garden and other Appurtenances
thereunto belonging and also four Roods of Land lyeing severally in a
certain ffeild called Worple ffeild all which Messuage and Lands are
lyeing and being in Hersham in the said Parish of Walton upon Thames and
holden of the said Mannor of Moulsey Prior To my said Wife Elizabeth
Holliday or her assignes for and during the Terme of her natural Life
and after her decease to my said son Robert Holliday and the Heires of
his body lawfully begotten and for want of such Issue to my Daughter
Dorothy and to the Heires of her Body lawfully begotten and for want
such Issue to the right Heires of the said Robert Holliday the Testator
for ever and I have made a surrender to the said Customary Tenements and
premises within the said Mannor of Moulsey Prior to the uses of my Will
Item I give unto my said son Robert Holliday all and singular my
Apparrell Linnen And Woollen also my Working Tools and Instruments
belonging to my trade Item I give and bequeath to my said Wife Elizabeth
Holliday all my Goods Chattells moneys and personal estate whatsoever
(Except my Apparrel and working Tools as aforesaid) whom I make and
ordain my full and Sole Executrix of this last will and Testament In
Witness whereof I the said Robert Holliday Senr have hereunto set my
hand and seal this Twelfth day of ffebruary Anno Dom 1710
