The Will of Henry Holder

 

In the Name of God Amen I Henry Holder of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being very Sick in Body but (through Mercy) Enjoying my Understanding and Memory Perfectly Sound and Good I humbly recommend my Precious Soul to the Almighty Creator who Gave it having firm ffaith of a Joyfull Resurrection with the Just at the last Day through the Merits of my Most blessed Redeemer and Saviour My Body I Desire may be Decently but Privately Buried at the Discretion of my Dear Wife Margaret Holder My Worldly estate which Consists Chiefly of three Hundred Pounds reduced Bank Annuities and One hundred Pounds in South Sea Stock I by this my last Will and Testament Give Devise and bequeath all the Produce Interest Dividends and Income that Shall arise and become Payable for the same unto my said Dear Wife for and during the Term of her natural life And I Also Give and Devise unto her absolutely One hundred pounds capital of the said ffour hundred pounds Stock and Annuities at her own Disposal when and to whom She Shall Please and after her Decease I Give and bequeath Two hundred pounds of the said Capital Stock or Annuities unto my Niece Katherine Holder absolutely and for ever and the remaining One hundred Pounds of the said Capital Stock and Annuities I Give and bequeath the same my two Neices Mary the Wife of Simon Vanderburgh and Sarah Holder equally to be Divided between them Share and Share alike And I do Nominate and Appoint my said Dear Wife Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I hereby revoke every Will and Wills by me heretofore made by Word or in Writing And I Earnestly Intreat and and Desire my Good Old ffriend and Acquaintance Mr David Morgan will Assist and Aid my Said Dear Wife with his friendly Advice and Assistance in all her Affairs In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this ffifteenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty two H. Holder
