Memdum That I Mary Hodson the wife of Robert Hodson now and for some time past of Tewin in the County of Hertford and befor that of Martin and Querdon in the County of Surrey Gentlewoman by virtue and in pursuance and Execution of certain powers Trusts Confidences and Authorities to me reserved given granted reposed limited declared or appointed or now in me vested and being by any Deed or Deeds Indenture or Indentures Writing or Writings whatsoever made or executed by me or whereunto I am made a party before or since my Intermarriage with the said Robert Hodson or either or any of them for touching or concerning or any ways relating to the real or personall Estate or either of them which I at the time of my said Marriage with the said Robert Hodson was seized or possessed of or any wise interested in or intitled unto do by these presents give grant devise nominate declare limit direct and appoint all and Singular the real and personal Estate of what Kind or nature soever which I now am or any person or persons in trust for me are seized of or possessed of or which I have any estate right or title unto or interest in with their and every of their appurtenances in manner following that is to say I give devise declare direct limit and appoint unto my said very kind and loving and well beloved Husband Robert Hodson and to his heirs and Assigns for ever all and every the fields ...peices and parcels of arable meadow and Pasture Land and Woods and Wood Ground hereinafter particularly mentioned and described and called or known by the severall names herein after particularly mentioned and described and called or known by the severall names hereinafter expressed or by whatever other name or names they are severally called or known and contain severally by estimation the severall numbers and quantities of acres hereinafter mentioned be the same severally more or less (that is to say) Lewis ffeild about seven acres Burnham Green ffeild about ffive acres the Spring of Wood adjoining to it called Rowe Spring about one acre Pear Tree ffield about six acres Longfield with a Grove or Shaw of Pollard trees in about Seven Acres together Synods ffeild about Eleven Acres Synods Wood about three acres Littlebroadcroft about three acres and Stock ffield about two acres all which said severall Lands and Tenements are lying and being together or near unto each other in the said Parish of Tewin or Datchworth in the said County of Hertford or one of them at or near unto a place called Burnham Green and are in the possession tenure or occupation of my said husband Robert Hodson and do belong to or have been held with the house at Tewin upper Green wherein my said husband andf I inhabit together with all ways passage Waters Watercourses Commons ffeedings rights Privilidges Advantages and appurtenances to the said devised severall Lands and tenements or any of them belonging or now used held or occupied therewith or any of them To have and to hold unto my said husband Robert Hodson his heirs and Assigns absolutely for ever Item I give devise declare direct limit and appoint the said Messuage or Tenement at Tewin upper Green aforesaid wherein my said husband and I now live with a little house lately built by him Situate near the same and all other my arrable Meadow pasture and Woodlands to the said Messuage belonging and now in the possession tenure or Occupation of the said Robert Hodson save and except the before mentioned Lands Tenements and Premises so devised and limitted unto my said husband as aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances all which are Situate lying and being in the said Parishes of Tewin and Datchworth aforesaid or either of them or any other parish or place in the said County of Hertford or elsewhere in the Kingdom of England with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said husband Robert Hodson for and during the term of his naturall life he during that time keeping the houses Outhouses and barns thereon in good and sufficient repair and Condition and so leave them at the time of his Death and from and immediately after the decease of my said husband unto my son and only Child Anthony Hodson (which I had by my said Husband Robert Hodson) And to his heirs and Assigns absolutely for ever And my Will and meaning is and I hereby order and direct that it shall be lawfull to and for my said Husband at any time or times during his life time to make any Lease or Leases of the said demised premises (so given to him for life as aforesaid) or any part thereof to Any Person or Persons for and terme or termes of years not exceeding one and twenty years provided he let the same Premises for the most yearly rent that can be begot for the same and by Lease in Writing and that Counter Part thereof be executed by the persons to whom the same shall be so let and that no ffine or other thing in lieu thereof be had or taken on the making such Lease or Leases anything herein contained to the contrary thereof notwithstanding Item I give devise limit and appoint unto my said Husband Robert Hodson all my Goods Chattells Personall Estate and Effects of what kind or nature soever not disposed of at the time of my Death to and for his sole use and benefit Item I nominate constitute and appoint my said husband Robert Hodson Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do publish and declare it as my last provided always and I do expressly declare and my Will and true meaning is that these presents shall be construed and taken as a Will revocable and alterable at any time or times during my life time at my will and Pleasure and not as a Deed in Writing irrevocable executed either in pursuance of the Power aforesaid or in any or either of them (anything herein contained to the contrary thereof notwithstanding ) And I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills and Testaments and all other Devises Declarations Limitations and appointments by me made pursuant to the Trust and powers aforesaid or any of them or otherwise howsoever In Witness whereof I the said Mary Hodson have hereunto set my hand and Seal in the presence of three Witness whose names are
