In the name of God amen, the 20th day of December in the year of our Lord 1558, I Christopher Hodson of Bradford being of good mynd and hole memorye do order and make my last will and testament in the manner following :first I give and bequeath my soul unto God almightie my creator and redeemer, to the blessed lady and to all the holy company in heaven and my body to be buried in the church yeard in Bradfod aforesaid.

 Item, I give and bequeath unto Edward Hodgson my son the take and loan of my house and of one lyttil ..... called Tomshay Foyte during the terms in which I gave the same, and after his decease to remain unto Maud my daughter, and the said Maud to paye or.........to be paid unto Agnes Hodgson my daughter xiiis and iiijd in money. Item, I give unto the said Edward my son all manner of things belonging to the occupation of the shoremay (?) craft. Item, I give and bequeath unto the said Maud my daughter  one pair of tongs, to be made .......my hole goods except womans waige. Item, I give and bequeath unto Janine my daughter my best table (?) The residue of all my goods and chattells and detts I give and bequeath unto the foresaid Edward my son and to Agnes, Maud, Isabell and Janine Hodghon my children who I do order and make my executors and executrix of this my said last will and testament.
