The Will of John Hingeston

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Hingeston of Lyme Regis in the County of Dorset Surgeon ffirst I give and bequeath to my eldest son John Hingeston of Lyme Regis aforesaid Attorney at Law the sum of twenty pounds I give and bequeath unto my second son William Hingeston of Lyme Regis aforesaid Surgeon the sum of four hundred pounds Also my Medical Books Surgical Instruments Drugs Medicines & ffixtures in the Room I occupy as a Surgery together with my Horse Saddle and Bridle I give and bequeath unto my youngest son George Hingeston of Lyme Regis aforesaid the sum of six hundred pounds and those several sums I direct to be paid to my three Sons John William & George six months after my decease by my Executrixes hereafter named I give and bequeath unto my youngest Daughter Jane Hingeston the Columbian Bonds which I have lodged in the hands of my Banker Messrs Spooner Attewood of London together with the sum of Two hundred pounds and a Deed Poll of the Lyme Regis Turnpike in my possession. Also I give devise and bequeath all that my ffreehold house situate in Broad Street Lyme Regis aforesaid together with all and singular the rights members and Appurtenances to the same belonging late in the tenure & occupation of Mr Phosse and the ffurniture therein unto my three Daughters Maria Elizabeth and Jane Hingeston share and share alike as tenants in common and their heirs for ever All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate & Effects Ready Money Securities for Money whether on Mortgage or otherwise Money in the ffunds Book and other Debts both simple Contract and Specialty which may be due and owing unto me at the time of my decease I give and bequeath to my three Daughters Maria Elizabeth & Jane Hingston wholly to enjoy receive and take the full amount and Interest of the same subject however to the payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said three Daughters Maria Elizabeth & Jane Hingston Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I John Hingeston the Testator have to the first Sheet of this my last Will and Testament set my hand and to this second and last sheet my hand and seal also the thirty first day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight John Hingeston
