The Will of Sarah Hiatt

 

In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Hiatt of Fullwell in the parish of Spilsbury and County of Oxford widow being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding and calling to Mind and duely considering the uncertainty of human life do make publish and declare this my last will and Testament First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of my blessed Maker trusting in his Mercies and in the Merritts of my dear Redeemer for the remission of all my sins and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my hereinafter named Executrixes And as to my temporal Estate (Exclusive of what my late Husband left me) which it hath pleased God to bless me with I give bequeath and dispose of it in manner following First I give and bequeath unto my kinsman Edward Hiatt one Clock and Case and one large Box Also I give and bequeath unto my kinsman William Hiatt one Tea Table and one Corner Cupboard and two pairs of Sheets and four chairs and one Buckett and one small Kettle Also I give and bequeath unto James Hiatt the son of William Hiatt one Pewter Dish and one Plate Also I give and bequeath unto Charles Hiatt the son of William Hiatt two Pewter Plates Also I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Watson the Granddaughter of my Cousin Ann Cooke of Evenload two Pewter Plates Also I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Elizabeth Hiatt one Copper Coffee Pott Also I Give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Ann Cooke of Evenload one Bedstead with the Curtain thereunto belonging and one Pestal and Mortar and one pair of Bellows five Shovel Tongues and one schillett and one large Cloaths Chest Also I give and bequeath unto my Kinswomen Ann Cooke Elizabeth Hiatt and Elizabeth Watson All the rest of my Linen and Wearing Apparel to be equally divided between them share and share alike Also I give and bequeath unto my Cousins Anne Cooke and William Hiatt all and every any Money that I have or that may become due to me with the Interest of Money that is due to me from my Kinsman Thomas Davis I Give and bequeath the same unto my Kinsman William Hiatt and my Kinswoman Ann Cooke to be equally divided between them share and share alike Lastly I do make nominate constitute and appoint Ann Cooke and Elizabeth Hiatt joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former or other Will or Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last will and Testament set and subscribed my seal this twenty seventh day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two Sarah X Hiatt
